National Broadacre Meeting
2017 October, Melbourne
In early October NRI held its National Broadacre Meeting in Melbourne. We had an impressive turnout, with over 40 shareholders attending this event. It was great to see everyone there enjoying the three days.
The meeting began on Sunday with business updates from the NRI CEO, David Apperley and National Business Manager for NRIG, Travis Hateley. This was followed by a group Go Carting activity where Shane Li Brandi from Grower Supplies showed off his natural flair behind the wheel and took home the chocolates. It was great to see the competitive spirit displayed as shareholders enjoyed each others company.
Monday and Tuesday saw our major Ag Chem supply partners present to the group on their product pipelines, current molecule pricing trends, supply outlooks for 2018 and how the environmental investigations in China are affecting the current market now and into the future. Suppliers also presented commercial offerings for the 2018 season. The general consensus after the meeting was that suppliers really hit the spot with the information they presented.
We also had a presentation from our NRI Marketing Manager, Sally McMahon. Sally covered SMS campaigns, email marketing, website solutions and how she can generally help shareholders with their marketing programs.
Overall, the feedback from both Suppliers and Shareholders was very positive and informative. Congratulations to Kerryn Hayes, who worked very hard in putting this event together for our NRI Shareholders. We look forward to seeing you at next years event.
